Vector VFD

Vector variable frequency drives (VFDs) give you tight torque and speed control on demanding loads where a standard V/f drive loses accuracy. Our sensorless vector (SVC) and closed-loop vector (FVC) units hold full rated torque down to 0.5 Hz, so cranes, extruders, machine tools, and winding machines run smoothly from standstill. An optional encoder card adds position feedback for precise closed-loop control.

Selecting the right vector drive starts with your load profile. Constant-torque machines such as extruders and hoists need 150% overload for 60 seconds; high-inertia winding applications need a longer deceleration ramp or a brake resistor. Match the rated current to the motor nameplate, not just the kW, because low-speed cooling and cable length affect thermal limits. Keep the output cable short or add a dv/dt filter for long runs to protect the motor insulation.
