Blower VFD

Blower and fan variable frequency drives (VFDs) cut energy on centrifugal and Roots blowers while giving precise flow or pressure control. Our blower VFDs include a flying-start function to catch a coasting rotor, resonance-band skip to avoid mechanical shake, and a fire-mode override that forces full speed during emergencies.

Size by motor power (1.5–315 kW) and duty: continuous ventilation, dust extraction, or combustion air. Map the system's resonance speeds and program skip bands so the drive never dwells there. For high-inertia rotors, set a long ramp and check the braking method if rapid stops are needed. Outdoor units need IP54 and corrosion protection.

How to Select the Right Blower

  1. Check the motor nameplate: rated power, current, voltage and frequency.
  2. Identify the load type — variable torque (fans, pumps) or constant torque (conveyors, compressors, mills).
  3. Match the drive's rated output current to the motor's full-load current, not just the kW rating.
  4. Confirm the overload requirement: 120% for light duty, 150% or more for heavy duty.
  5. Check the environment: ambient temperature, dust, humidity and cable length derating.
  6. Send us your specifications — we confirm frame size and quote FOB/CIF within 24 hours.
