Yolico Named a Jiangsu Specialised and Sophisticated Enterprise

The company has been recognised as a Specialised and Sophisticated Enterprise by Jiangsu province. The assessment is not a self-declaration: it examines operating conditions, innovation capability, degree of specialisation and degree of refinement, and it is the highest tier in the Chinese small and medium enterprise grading system.
The four criteria the award name refers to are specialisation, refinement, distinctive character and innovation. In practice an applicant has to show that it does something narrow and does it well — the opposite of a general-purpose manufacturer that makes whatever the market asks for that month.
Yolico was founded in 2004 and designs, develops, manufactures and sells variable frequency drives together with the electrical drive control solutions built around them, supported by a portfolio of product qualifications and patents. The award recognises that focus rather than the size of the company, which is why it is relevant to a buyer: it is an outside assessment that the supplier's effort is concentrated in the technology the buyer is purchasing.
The site also holds national-level technology-based SME recognition, awarded on a similar principle — a company whose people and intellectual property are committed to research and development in its own field, and which converts that work into products it sells.
