Trane Asia-Pacific Service Team Trains on Yolico Drives for Chiller Control

A service and technical team from the Asia-Pacific organisation of Trane, the commercial HVAC group, attended a training session at the Wuxi works. The subject was the variable frequency control systems used in large commercial central air-conditioning equipment.
The programme covered the drives from the outside in. The engineers went through product construction and function, the operating procedure, maintenance requirements and the common fault questions that come up in the field, using worked cases and live demonstrations rather than slides alone. The session deliberately included hands-on operation, so the team could work the products themselves and see how they behave rather than only read about it.
For a service organisation the point of this kind of training is response time. Engineers who have operated a drive and know how it is built diagnose a field problem faster and escalate less, which matters most where the equipment sits in a building that cannot be shut down for long.
The visiting team gave the sessions and the instructors a positive assessment, and the two organisations plan to continue the exchange. Yolico's stated intent for the relationship is to keep pace with customer requirements and to extend its overseas service capability, so that a drive shipped abroad is backed by support that responds in the customer's own time zone.
