YD680 High-performance VFD 0.75–630 kW

The YD680 is our flagship low-voltage variable frequency drive (VFD), running V/f, open-loop vector (SVC) and closed-loop vector (FVC) control from 0.75 to 630 kW on 380 V three-phase supply. It drives both asynchronous induction and permanent-magnet synchronous motors, with heavy-duty 150% overload for 60 seconds for demanding loads.

Product Description

The YD680 is built for machine builders and plant engineers who need one proven platform for the widest range of industrial loads. Rated 0.75–630 kW at 380 V three-phase, it covers everything from small conveyors to large pumps, fans and extruders, and switches between V/f, SVC and FVC control without changing hardware.

Standard and optional cards extend the platform: communication cards add RS485, PROFIBUS-DP, PROFINET, CANLink, CANopen and EtherCAT; encoder cards add optical PG, resolver and multi-channel frequency-division inputs; and LED or LCD keypads can be mounted remotely. Anti-stall, PID, multi-speed and PLC-function blocks let the drive run standalone logic without an external controller.

FAQ about YD680

What is the difference between the YD680 and YD580?

Both cover 0.75–630 kW with V/f, SVC and FVC control. The YD680 supports both induction and permanent-magnet synchronous motors and offers the widest option set, while the YD580 targets standard induction-motor applications. Send us your motor nameplate and duty cycle and we confirm the exact model within 24 hours.

Can the YD680 run a permanent-magnet motor?

Yes. Besides asynchronous induction motors, the YD680 supports permanent-magnet synchronous motors with dedicated PM control and auto-tuning. Provide the motor datasheet — rated voltage, current, speed and back-EMF — so we preset the parameters before shipment.

What communication options are available?

Communication cards support RS485 (Modbus), PROFIBUS-DP, PROFINET, CANLink, CANopen and EtherCAT. Choose the card at order time; we ship the drive with the selected protocol enabled and tested.
