The YD5000 is a general-purpose variable frequency drive (VFD) for 660 V three-phase networks, rated 55–1000 kW. V/f, sensorless vector (SVC) and closed-loop vector (FVC) control with 150% overload for 60 s bring full vector performance to mid-voltage plants and mining installations.

Many mining, cement and water plants distribute at 660 V to cut cable losses on long runs. The YD5000 speaks that voltage natively from 55 kW up to 1000 kW, so motors connect without step-down transformers. V/f mode covers fans and pumps; SVC and FVC with the optical encoder PG card handle conveyors, crushers and mills that need real torque control.
The RS-485 keypad and communication options integrate into existing control rooms, and the 150% / 60 s overload rating starts high-inertia loads without tripping. Because it shares the YD family parameter structure, technicians who know the 380 V drives commission the YD5000 without retraining.
At the same power, a 660 V motor draws roughly half the current of a 380 V motor. That means thinner cables, lower copper losses and smaller switchgear on long runs — significant savings in mines and large plants.
